BlueSky DragonSlayer™ Industry Leading dust collector for lance cutting
Sentinel™ Dry Scrubber
State-of-the-art solution for lance-cutting, arc-gauging, and arc-spraying processes.
A BlueSky DragonSlayer™ Smoke-eating System is the ideal solution for any smoke or fume producing process including lance cutting, arc-gauging, and arc-spraying. Each system can be configured from 2,500-100,000+SCFM based on the project need, and comes with proprietary Pulse&Shake™ filter self-cleaning module(s).
BlueSky ID fan units (TurboBox™ module) are VFD and PLC controlled, allowing for automatic fan-speed adjustment to maintain consistent and reliable airflow for 24/7 operations, no offline cleaning needed.
Hazardous Applications
A BlueSky DragonSlayer™ Smoke-eating System utilizes SmartBox® technology and True HEPA filtration to not just capture hazardous dust types like Hexavalent Chromium(Chrome 6), Lead, etc. but to fully encapsulate filters so that during a filter exchange, no worker EVER comes into contact with the hazardous dust-cake.
This makes the BlueSky machine the only truly compliant and safe dust collector for hazardous projects on the market.
For the most hazardous applications such as lance-cutting work during Nuclear D&D projects for spent-fuel pits, a secondary True HEPA post-filtration stage (>99.97% @0.3μm) is added to the modular system with optional on-site DOP testing of the complete system available through our third-party testing partner.
Non-Hazardous Applications
For non-hazardous projects, captured dust cake is knocked off the filters by the Pulse&Shake™ modules (JetPack™ module), and falls straight into bulk bags or drums beneath the machine, avoiding the need for an auger or eductor system. The system also includes automatic cycle-cleaning of the filters to allow for 24/7 operation of the BlueSky® DragonSlayer™ system with no offline pulsing required.
How does a BlueSky DragonSlayer™ System work?
The most basic BlueSky DragonSlayer™ System consists of 4 key stages and an optional 5th stage (cycling) based on the project needs.
1.wSource Capture Point - brings the induced airflow to the point source where the dust/fume is being generated while shielding against cross wind and other environmental factors that can strongly affect the performance of an airfiltration system. The DragonSlayer™ system easily connects to an existing hood, or BlueSky® can assist in sourcing a cost-effective and practical fume hood based on the project need.
2. Primary True HEPA filtration Stage - captures all dust/fume with >99.97% efficiency at 0.3μm. The modularity of BlueSky machines allows filter banks (SmartBox® modules) to be added or removed to achieve the optimal air-to-cloth ratio for each project.
3. Optional Secondary True HEPA filtration Stage - Ensures that the machine experiences zero particulate emissions (>99.99% total efficiency) and passes on-site DOP testing for the most hazardous applications.
4. TurboBox™ module - VFD and PLC controlled induced airflow, capable of up to 18" W.C. negative pressure and 2,000SCFM - 60,000SCFM per machine.
5. Cycling Stage - For projects requiring continuous 24/7 operation, an additional stack can be added to the DragonSlayer™ system which brings automated off-line pulse cleaning for each filter stack while keeping the machine running at a consistent performance level.
Note: All stages are modular, and separable based on job-site requirements (see second rendering). Configurations shown are assembled with components ready to mobilize, and fully stocked in our rental fleet.
