Asbestos remediation on decommissioned Steam Plant, Syracuse, New York
Two (2) BlueSky 120H Defender™ negative air machines were used to maintain 4ACH (40,000SCFM of HEPA air filtration) on a multi-story asbestos remediation project near Syracuse university. No filter changes were required during the project, and one of the machines was reserved for a future job.
Kiln Ash and Portland Cement Emergency Dust Collector, Gum Springs, Arkansas
An 8,000SCFM BlueSky Gladiator™ mobile dust collector was deployment on an emergency basis to keep a plant’s process online when the existing unit experienced a motor failure. The BlueSky machine ran without a filter change until the permanent replacement unit arrived.
Stainless Steel Welding Booth, Austin, Texas
Four (4) BlueSky Gladiator™ 220H mobile dust collectors with True HEPA (>99.97% @0.3 microns) filtration were used to capture Hexavalent Chrome produced during stainless steel welding of body panels for electric vehicles. The machine ran for the 1.5 year project duration without requiring a filter change.
Lance-Cutting and Hot Dross Handling, Horsham, Pennsylvania
Two (2) 20,000SCFM BlueSky DragonSlayer™ systems were used to capture Hexavalent chrome and metal fume produced as part of the metal recovery process in a large steel mill. The units were rail-mounted for easier mobility.
Large Metal Grinding Temporary Dust Collector, Birmingham, Alabama
A 30,000 SCFM BlueSky Gladiator™ machine was used an emergency temporary dust collector after a fire was experienced in the previously installed system. The modularity of the machine allowed the filter stacks to be connected to the existing onsite fan unit. The machine ran for 5 months until the permanent replacement arrived without requiring a filter change.
Corn Husk Agricultural Dust Capture, South Bend, Indiana
A 10,000SCFM BlueSky Gladiator™ mobile dust collector was used to HEPA filter fine corn husk dust produced from large dryer units in the process. Explosion vents were installed on the unit, and the HEPA filters were grounded and included an anti-static coating.
Hex Chrome Metallization, Welding, Grinding of Large Roller, Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Four (4) BlueSky Gladiator™ 320H mobile dust collectors were used to capture Hex Chrome dust and fume produced during the installation and metallization of a large roller in a paper mill. The HEPA SmartBox® modules safely captured the fine hex chrome particulate, and were disposed of at the end of the project without any ppe required, or personnel exposed onsite.
Smoke Removal during Renovation, Clearwater, Florida
A 12,000SCFM BlueSky Gladiator™ Mobile dust collector was used to capture smoke and maintain negative air pressure during the renovation of a large studio sound-stage in Florida.
Temporary Silica Dust Collector, Metairie, Louisiana

Lead Grit Blasting, Repainting, and Negative Air Containment, Massena, New York
A 12,000SCFM BlueSky Sentinel™ Dry Scrubbing system was used for lead paint removal and repair on large metal parts in a hydroelectric dam. The system captured lead and blasting dust with True HEPA filtration (>99.97% @0.3 microns), and adsorbed VOCs using an impregnated, granular activated carbon (GAC) stage while maintaining negative air pressure in the containment.
Sandblasting and Negative Air Containment for Asbestos Remediation, Concord, North Carolina
A 20,000SCFM BlueSky Gladiator™ 220H machine with True HEPA (>99.97% @0.3 microns) was used to capture sand blasting dust and establish negative air pressure with 4ACH in an old commercial building renovation project.
Arc-gauging of Vessel Linings, Springfield, Missouri
An 8,000SCFM BlueSky Gladiator™ 208 mobile dust collector was used during the re-lining of stainless and carbon steel coal ball mills, safely capturing the hexavalent chrome and other metal fume produced during the arc-gauging.

Bulk Carrier Offloading Silica Dust Collector, Channelview, Texas
Two (2) 20,000SCFM BlueSky Gladiator™ mobile dust collectors were used to capture silica dust produced during offloading of cement powder to achieve regulatory compliance. The machines were configured with roll-offs for easy offloading, and could be relocated using a forklift.
Blasting and Metallization Dust Collector, Amite, Louisiana
A 20,000SCFM BlueSky Gladiator™ mobile dust collector was used for room capture in a containment erected for the blasting and metallization of steel columns in a large metal fabrication facility. No filter changes were required during the project.
Special Metal Manufacturing Emergency Dust Collector, Houston, Texas
A 20,000SCFM BlueSky Gladiator™ mobile dust collector was sent in an emergency weekend deployment after the previous dust collector experienced a fire. The machine was configured with an inertial separator stage for larger particles, primary filtration, and secondary HEPA filtration to achieve net-zero emissions. It ran for 4 months (until the permanent system was delivered) with no filter change required.

Two (2) 20,000SCFM and one (1) 30,000SCFM BlueSky Gladiator™ mobile dust collectors were used to provide temporary dust collection with HEPA filtration at a diaper-making facility. The machines ran successfully until the permanent system arrived.
Rock Crusher Dust Collection for Mining Operation, Lead, South Dakota
A 10,000 SCFM BlueSky Gladiator™ dust collector is permanently installed to collect fine dust produced by a rock crusher. The system’s modularity allows captured dust cake to be reintroduced back into the process using an eductor system bolted onto the decanters underneath the BlueSky machine.

Nuclear Decommissioning negative air containment, Buchanan, New York
A 20,000SCFM BlueSky Defender™ negative air machine was used to establish negative air pressure on a containment and air filtration of radiated dust during the decommissioning of a Nuclear power plant. It was configured with two-stage True HEPA filtration and the complete system was on-site DOP tested to confirm >99.97% @0.3 micron efficiency. The machine ran for more than 1 year without requiring a filter replacement.
Hex Chrome Thermal Spray during Shutdown, Crossett, Arkansas
Three (3) 10,000SCFM BlueSky Gladiator™ mobile dust collectors were used to capture Hex Chrome fume and blasting dust produced during the remetallization of a yankee dryer. The units were configured as roll-offs for easier placement and collection during the time-sensitive shutdown. The SmartBox® modules safely encapsulated the captured Hex Chrome fume and contaminated filters. At project’s end, the SmartBox® were removed and disposed of through BlueSky’s cradle-to-grave waste disposal partner without any exposure risk or ppe required by personnel.
Hex Chrome Grit Blasting, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
A 5,000SCFM BlueSky Gladiator® dust collector is permanently installed to capture dust produced from two (2) grit blasting booths. The SmartBox® module is used so that no worker is ever exposed to the captured dust or contaminated filters during annual replacement.
